Caitlin and I were invited by Owen Phillips (Violet’s Dad) to talk about the slam today on Catskill own community radio station WGXC. We had a great time talking about how much we love running the slam and how much we love our community of storytellers! You can listen here (we come on one hour into the show). Thank you, Owen, for having us.

New Storytelling Workshop in January

Our next storytelling workshop is scheduled for January 2025. We hope you will consider signing up for this intensive and intimate opportunity to explore the craft of storytelling.
In this storytelling workshop, you’ll learn how to shape stories from your life and share them with others in a small group setting. We’ll introduce you to the principles of storytelling and incorporate performance techniques, sensory exploration and memory work to bring your stories to the stage. At the end you will be invited to perform your story at our monthly On The Fly Story Slam.
In this workshop you will:
- Be introduced to principles and strategies of live storytelling
- Learn to turn your life experiences into a compelling story
- Receive individual feedback and support
- Work with other storytellers to practice and improve your narrative
- Perform a fantastic 5-minute story!
Is this for you?
Have you ever attended a story slam or listened to the Moth Radio Hour? Do you have a story you’d like to perform or just work on? Have you always wanted to explore storytelling, but never had the time? We’d love to have you!
